ARTISTS
Matisse, Picasso, Maillol, Warhol… all the great artists have used Canson papers.

For his pastels, Degas preferred tracing paper, while Matisse had a soft spot for C'à Grain® and Lavis B, which were perfectly suited to his gouache paper cut-outs. A large number of Picasso's pen and ink sketches were reproduced on C'à Grain®. As for Montval® paper, it was developed in response to a request by Aristide Maillol.

Still today, artists from 3 to 103 years old - drawers, painters, draughtsmen, fashion designers, cartoonists, photographers, students, children- draw inspiration from the Canson range and play freely with the textures, grains and transparency of the papers to express their creativity.

Thanks to our close relationship with generations of artists and to more than 450 years of history and savoir-faire, we have a special link with artists and know them well: their needs, their dreams and struggle for visibility and recognition.

We aim for excellence in the knowledge of our consumers, in order to provide them with the best products. From school kids to professional artists.
