After WWII, Robert Hamelin, his grand son, changed the focus of his business starting manufacturing exercise books. Over the course of 80's, he built up a market leading business, multi-specialised in school and office supplies in France.
During the 90's, Stéphane Hamelin, together with Jacques Piattier and Francis Werner, started expanding the group on a European scale acquiring a number of companies. By the early 2000's Hamelin was recognised as the leading European company in this industry.
After the acquisition of Canson in 2007 and the merger between its Envelops Division and BONG in 2010, Stéphane Hamelin and Eric Joan, the Group's Managing Director have greatly changed HAMELIN's organisation with the aim to meeting the global challenges of the school, office and fine arts supplies.
